The Merlin Money Tee featuring the missing $8 bank note with non other than John Joseph Merlin. Who the fuck is John Joseph Merlin you might ask? Well, Merlin is credited with the invention of inline skates in the 1760s. 18th Century Blade Tech yo!!
Whilst the idea of shoes with wheels seems as though it would have been invented eventually, big ups to Merlin for getting it done all those years ago!
With this Tee, I wanted to create something that's less obviously blading related... a more "if you know, you know" kind of vibe. There's a lot hidden in this one, and I hope y'all enjoy the design as much as I enjoyed making it.
For anyone who's interested, the story of Merlin, his skates, and crashing into a mirror at a masquerades ball is actually pretty hilarious and well worth a quick google!
